We’re back playing shows again after our recent hiatus and we’ve been having a blast.  Our return started off with a night of great friends playing great music – The Blackbelt Band’s CD release show @ the Blue Nile.  We’ve played shows with these guys in 4 different bands over ten years now and everything they do is quality.  Their new album A New Community (Sick Room Records) is no exception and is their most brilliant work to date.  Check out this month’s Antigravity for the cover story and amusing interview with the band.

Next was the New Orleans Instrumental Music Fest presented by Southern Soundscape.  Despite some nasty weather that weekend we had a great time playin’ and kickin’ it with lots of our vocal-less contemporaries from across the south.  The event was recorded live and a compilation CD of the fest will be made available soon by Southern Soundscape.

On Friday, April 3rd we kicked off our ‘tour’ with good friends Smiley With A Knife.  Warning:  this is not actually a tour.  Basically we are just playing a bunch of shows together over the next two months, several of which are out of town. This week we head to Mobile, AL to play at the Blind Mule. If you are in Mobile, please spread the word.
